Military cast iron hoist

Ref: IN8020

This 8 cwt wrought iron davit is currently on display at the Military Heritage Centre at Princess Caroline's Battery. The hoist or davit may have been part of the original equipment used for the sunken magazine directly behind the emplacement for the 6 inch Mark VII gun that was installed there in 1905.
