Camp Bay Interpretation panels
As part of the beautification of the Carlos Perez promenade, the Ministry of Heritage was tasked with putting the area of Camp Bay and Little Bay into historical context.
Seven panels were prepared in draft form:
La Cala del Laudero
The Devil’s Bowling Green
The Camp Bay Quarries
POW Camp at Little Bay
The Dolphins Pool
Covid-19 lockdown put the project on hold for the next three years.
The original info point drafts are reviewed and updated.
Ten new info point stands are commissioned – eight for Camp bay and two for Southport. The Ministry for the Environment produce their own panel – Our Southern Waters – to complement the historical ones.
The panel structures are placed by the contractors along the Carlos Perez Promenade and other strategic locations along Camp Bay.
The Gibraltar Chronicle Printing Works print and place the info boards on the panels.
Further information on each of the panels can be obtained by uploading the QR Codes provided.
The panel information will also be translated into Spanish using the QR Codes provided.
